Last week two of my three brothers were here in Greensboro – also one of my sisters-in-law. One came from Naples, Florida and the other couple came from Fairfield, Connecticut. We came just to be together – and also to witness their prodigious efforts in response to a “hit list” of projects that needed to be done around our house. In the process we laughed, reminisced, and told stories. Being at worship together on Sunday was the icing on the cake! So often I hear of families where there is “bad blood” between the brothers and sisters in various configurations. When we were boys our uncle Jules (the greatest uncle ever) constantly said to us when we started to miss behave toward one another, “Remember, boys, you are brothers.” We never forgot that admonition – it all these years later it still works!
