A New Year and a New Normal

Sorry about the hiatus. We have had some technical problems – that are now resolved.

10 1/2 years ago I suffered a high level of spinal cord injury that left me pretty disabled. At the time I was unable to move anything below my neck – it appeared that walking would be out of the question. Among other things, I resolved NEVER to ask why this happened to me; I only asked “What is next.” Early in the process I believe with all my heart that God was going to call me to a “new normal.” It appears that the new normal God had for me was a wonderful ministry with the First Presbyterian Church of Greensboro, Georgia. I cannot tell you how happy my wife and I are being here and being part of such a warm, loving, dynamic congregation.

What about you? What has happened to you in the last year or two? I can tell you from personal experience, you have two options: you can be bitter, angry, and stuck where you are, or, you can view this from the Divine perspective that God is always at work in your life and from time to time calls you surprisingly to a “new normal.”
