On Sunday we celebrated All Saints Day, the annual reminder that we are surrounded by a great cloud of witnesses, watching us, praying for us, and encouraging us to do our very best for the Lord Jesus Christ while we are still here on the earth. Some years back I did a good deal of traveling in and around our national church. I especially enjoyed attending the nationwide General Assembly meetings that are now being held every other year. The worship services in these gatherings were something special. We used every kind of music you can imagine and when we sang hymns or recited the Creed everyone did so in his/her own language – like on the Day of Pentecost.
It sounded a bit chaotic – but I call it Holy Chaos – and it is music in God’s ears!
