Sharing a meal with your church family is a great way to bond with our pastor and other members, visitors and prospective members.
Tables of Eight
This is an opportunity to get church members and guests to have dinner together in the home of a memeber of the church. Over a 5 month period, you will be invited to bring a dish and go to dinner at the host house. Great fun and always a place to get to know everyone in the church. There is nothing like breaking bread together.
Quarterly Covered Dish Lunches after Church
We have found that is is easier for us to have a meal together after Worship on Sunday rather than at night. Our congregation and visitors bring their favorite dish and have a great meal where the meat is provided by the church. And so times we have an old fashioned hymn sing after lunch.
We have a picnic twice a year at either a member home or at the Georgia Power Pavilion. Casual and always great food.
We also look forward to ourChristmas dinner each December. In years past it has been in either a member home or a private room at a resturant.
Ladies Lunch Gathering
The FPOG Ladies will meet on the first Wednesday of each month. The group eats at different restuarants in the community at 11:30 AM . Please join us! Watch here in the website on in the bulletin for locations. If you are not on our email list or would
like to add a friend, please send a note to firstname.lastname@example.org and we will add you.
Men of the Church
First Presbyterian Men of the Church meet for lunch once a month. Everyone is welcome to join us for this fellowship time. On the last Wednesday of the month, our Host picks a restaurant and that's is where we go. It's a great opportunity to eat in just about any place in the community. Lunch is always good and the conversation interesting. You might have a NASCAR discussion at one end of the table, planting trees being discussed in the middle of the table and the latest on golf at the other in of the table, If you haven't attended MOC (Men of the Church), join us in the coming months.
